Scenic Scottish Transfers is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated contractor drivers to join our team on an ad hoc basis. As a contractor driver with us, you’ll have the flexibility to work when needed, providing exceptional transfer and tour services to our passengers.

From the breathtaking Scottish Highlands to the charming coastal villages of the Borders and everywhere in between, we ensure our passengers travel in comfort while learning about fascinating points of interest along the way.

As a contractor driver you will get the choice of driving our premium vehicles on the journeys that interest you. One day you may be picking up tourists from Edinburgh airport and taking them to Fort William pointing out the sights along the way, while the following week you could be driving a film crew around the Isle of Skye for 3 days enjoying the scenery as you transport them between filming locations. We have a diverse range of customers seeking different journeys and as such no two days are ever the same at Scenic Scottish Transfers.

Our depot is conveniently located in Cumbernauld, nestled between Edinburgh and Glasgow, making it an ideal base for our key routes.

Your Role 

As a contractor driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Safely driving our vehicles and ensuring the comfort and safety of all passengers.
• Keeping vehicles clean and well-maintained, including topping up fluids and fuelling.
• Handling and stowing passenger belongings with care.
• Sharing interesting stories and information about Scotland’s landscapes, history, and culture.
• Upholding our professional standards and representing Scenic Scottish Transfers with pride.
• Problem-solving on the go, thinking on your feet to resolve any issues that arise and ensuring clients reach their destinations smoothly.

Requirements 

• A current UK car driving license with less than 6 points and a safety conscious approach to driving.
• Experience in providing high standards of customer service.
• A clear communicator with a friendly, approachable manner.
• Able to work independently, thinking on your feet to resolve any issues that come up, and handling unexpected situations with a calm, professional demeanour.
• A commitment to maintaining our high standards of service and care.
• Experience in transporting small groups of passengers or any passenger transport experience is desirable.
